Abstract

With the exception of the ellipse method, the parameters A, B, psi , and a, b, c, d cannot be determined from the methods of interpreting telluric current results now in use (the triangle, rectangle, polygon, harmonic wave analysis, and amplitude methods). The intersection method described here gives the important parameter K as well as all the others needed in interpretation. Comparison with the ellipse method on many practical examples leads to the conclusion that the intersection method gives good results, meets practical requirements, and is simple.
