Abstract

The Society of Exploration Geophysicists has grown rapidly over the last few years to a member-ship of over five thousand. Since the field of exploration geophysics is broad and complex, the membership represents a wide range of professional interests and skills; and this is a fact which makes it especially difficult for those administering the society's activities to be sure that its services are being properly directed.
