Abstract

Calls attention to the existence of positive gravity anomalies over the centers of the Rio Salado and Comodoro Rivadavia basins in Argentina and suggests that the areas involved were in isostatic equilibrium prior to deposition of the sediments and that no further isostatic adjustment took place, due perhaps to increased rigidity of the earth's crust.
