Abstract

Examples of seismograms and cross sections are presented to illustrate changes of considerable importance resulting from relatively minor displacements of shot holes and spreads. Records are exhibited from continuous profiling lines which were shot from separate lines of shot holes on opposite sides of a single line of spreads, as well as from lines which were shot from a single line of holes but which were recorded simultaneously on separate parallel spreads. A comparison of the results of conventional spread arrangements and of the parallel line or "H" spread technique as used in difficult areas is made.
