Abstract

Many developments in international politics during the past few months have created much concern over the adequacy of our petroleum reserves. Not only the leaders in the oil industry, but also many industrial, congressional and military leaders are concerned over our ability to maintain a domestic production capacity sufficient to support the industrial and civilian markets, and if necessary, to meet the demands of another world-wide war.
