We thank Stevens et al. for their interest in our emplacement model for the Santa Rita Flat pluton. Below we briefly address five of the main points raised by Stevens et al.; additional comments on wall rock structure and the depth and rate of pluton emplacement are addressed in the GSA Data Repository1 material. We also take this opportunity to state that our magnetic fabric work was carried out using anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) techniques, which was misprinted as “accelerator mass spectrometry” in our paper.
