Abstract
A series of marbles, schists, and quartzites similar to those in the Kongsfjorden, probably of Hecla Hoek age, occurs in the Snoefjella and Dovrefjella area, north of Ekmanfjorden. The structure and metamorphism agree with the general Caledonian trend, but various anomalies are present which are as yet unexplained. Only tentative correlations can be attempted. Igneous rock in the form of a porphyritic olivine basalt occurs on Eidsvoll hill, where the remnants of two flows can be discerned. Four chemical analyses are given.
