Abstract
The results of gravity measurements in the vicinity of Newcastle and Durham, England, are in agreement with the idea that the region between Butterknowle fault and the Ninety Fathom dike is a horst. Along the valley of East Allen, however, the results seem to indicate an unexposed granite intrusion, which agrees with the known mineralization of the area.
