Abstract
Discusses the advisability of retaining the name agmatite as a purely descriptive term to denote a fragmental rock with a more or less granitic cement, with no genetic connotation, and describes two types of agmatite, giving a brief account of their mode of occurrence and of the mineralogical and petrological changes that took place during their formation.
