In continuation of the work of the Cambridge group in Spitsbergen, the Oslobreen series of sandstone, dolomite, and limestone, about 1,210 meters in thickness and containing faunas of lower Cambrian and Canadian (Ordovician) age, is here described and compared with the remeasured (now 1,290 feet) type section of the Durness limestone in northwest Scotland. A description of Hystricurus wilsoni n.sp. from the lower Oslobreen limestone is appended.
