Abstract

Five species of Ordovician bryozoans, originally described more than 100 years ago, are redescribed, as follows: Favosites fibrosa (1839) = Batostoma murchisoni nom. nov., "Ptilodichtya" dichotoma (1843) = Goniotrypa dichotoma, "Favosites" favulosa (1850) = Orbignyella favulosa, "Nebulipora lens" (1850) = Mesotrypa lens, and Ptilodichtya explanata (1850) = Rhinopora explanata. Six other species are discussed but poor preservation of the material precludes complete redescriptions.
