Abstract

Eight of the nine described species of holothurian spicules are new. They belong to the genera Theelia, Achistrum, and Rhabdotites, and occur in the cordatum zone of the Oxford clay (Jurassic) at Redcliff, near Weymouth on the coast of southern England. The close association of Theelia and Rhabdotites, previously unrecorded, is noted.
