Abstract

Argyrotheca altavillensis and A. cf. semicostata are reported for the first time from Great Britain. They occur in the Bracklesham beds at Selsey, Sussex. Terebratulina edwardsi, previously known only from a young specimen, is now described from an adult form found in the same material. British Eocene brachiopods are listed, and the ecologic significance of their rarity and distribution is noted.
