Abstract

Cyrtograptus hamatus, first described in 1862, is redescribed from fresh material of the C. lundgreni zone (Silurian) obtained in a restudy of the Devils Bit mountains in northern Tipperary, southern Ireland. Also collected were C. lundgreni and Paraplectograptus eiseli, of which the latter has not previously been recorded from Great Britain, and two specimens of Retiolites spinosus. From the Monograptus tumescens (lower Ludlow) zone one specimen of Plectograptus cf. macilentus was collected.
