Abstract

Trolvis quarry is situated in the eastern part of the Carnmenellis granitic mass, of Permo-Carboniferous age, south of Redruth, Cornwall, England. The mineralogy of the pegmatites is described. It is thought that the early minerals were deposited in a closed system, while later minerals were deposited from a moving phase, and that the disposition of the later minerals was influenced by the earlier crystals acting as baffles to the solutions.
