Abstract

"New floral and lithological evidence from the tongue of Coal Measures extending from the Wyre Forest coalfield into the northern part of the Abberley chain [20 miles southwest of Birmingham, England] establishes that the eastward overturning along the Malvern axis is of late-or post-Morganian age. Minor folding along this axis may have taken place prior to the deposition of the upper Coal Measures."
