Abstract

An attempt is made to ascertain the age of the river deposits at Swanscombe, Kent, southeast England, by identifying and tracing the glacial erratics in the gravels, The evidence indicates an age intermediate between the Lowestoft and gipping glaciations of East Anglia. A note by Z. L. Sujkowski on a pebble with Radiolaria from the 100-ft. terrace at Swanscombe is appended.
