Abstract

Establishes the succession between the Mona complex and the Cambrian of Wales, from oldest to youngest, as: sodic rhyolite of Bwlch-gwyn; the newly named Mierean formation, characterized by the presence of sponge spicules; and the Arvonian. Other series may have been present in the succession and have been removed during periods of extreme erosion.
