Eight inliers of Carboniferous limestone surrounded by Triassic formations form two groups of exposures along the northeastern side of the Leicestershire coal field, England. Breedon Cloud in the easterly group forms a prominent hill with high dips in the rocks composing it. A detailed analysis of its stratigraphy is given, as well as brief notes on six of the other seven inliers.
