It is difficult to be up-to-date when writing about the world energy scene. Oil and gas prices, in particular, can change markedly over short periods of time, often for unexpected reasons. This book review was written as the world waited to see if the US would invade Iraq, ostensibly to ensure UN resolutions are upheld (though to many people this looks more like an attempt to protect future US oil supplies than support for international law).
