Abstract

The lower Elton beds of localities in Shropshire, England, are defined as a dominantly shelly lateral equivalent of the uppermost Pristiograptus ludensis zone and the uppermost unit of the Wenlockian. Reference is made to the position proposed by P. T. Warren, R. B. Rickards, and C. H. Holland (see this Bibliography Vol. 32, No. 3, 15 E68-03093).
