The optical data for puninite were erroneously reported in the abstract as α = 1.587(2), β = 1.611(2), γ = 1.649(2), 2Vcalc = 60°. The correct values are α = 1.562(2), β = 1.591(2), γ = 1.634(2) (589 nm), 2Vcalc = 80.7°, as indicated in the main text on page 500 (part 3.1, Physical and optical properties of puninite). These errors do not affect the essentials of the study, but the authors and editors offer apologies for any inconvenience.
