It is our pleasure to introduce the first issue of the Journal of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics (JEEG) for 2024. This issue comprises four articles that bring new advancements into environmental and engineering geophysics.

The article “Electrical Resistivity Inversion Based on Symmetric Polynomial Constraint” proposes a symmetric polynomial constrained model function which can incorporate multiple physical properties into geophysical inversion through the use of a continuous product.
