Ladies and gentlemen, dear colleagues and friends: I am delighted to present this year’s winner of the Waldemar Lindgren Award to you. Zoltan Zajacz was born in Hungary, where he studied geology in at the Eötvös University in Budapest, then did his Ph.D. in our department with Werner Halter at ETH Zurich, with a focus on melt inclusion microanalysis and the determination of fluid/melt partition coefficients on natural samples.
