The recipient of the 2022 W. Storrs Cole Memorial Research Award is Dr. Peter van Hengstum, Department of Marine and Coastal Environmental Science, Texas A&M University at Galveston. This award was established to support research in invertebrate micropaleontology. It is given each year to a GSA Member or Fellow between 30 and 65 years of age who has published one or more significant papers on micropaleontology. Dr. van Hengstum has received the 2022 award to support his project entitled, Documenting subtropical climate and rainfall variability during the Dansgaard-Oeschger Events of Marine Isotope State 3 using foraminiferal and ostracod paleoecology....
