ABSTRACT
Eight small benthic foraminiferal species of the Lagenid genus Ramulina are common in the Late Cretaceous and Paleogene from some Tethyan localities: North Atlantic (USA, Mexico, Caribbean); Europe (France, Germany, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Ukraine); Northeast Africa (Egypt); Southwest Asia (Jordan, UAE, Iran, Turkmenia); and South Asia (Pakistan). These species are: Ramulina arkadelphiana, R. elkhoudaryi, R. elongata, R. futyani, R. globulifera, R. navarroana, R. ornata, and R. pseudoaculeata. Another four identified species are believed here to be new: Ramulina ismaili, R. orabii, R. plummerae, and R. salahii.
