Professor Khadyzhat Magome-dovna Saidova received the Joseph A. Cushman Award for Excellence in Foraminiferal Research on November 6, 2012, during the Cushman Foundation reception at the annual meeting of the Geological Society of America in Charlotte, North Carolina. This award recognizes her major contributions to understanding the taxonomy and distribution of modern foraminifera during a long and continuing career that started in the 1950s.
