Each year the Cushman Foundation for Foraminiferal Research presents the Joseph A. Cushman Award, the William V. Sliter Award, and the Loeblich and Tappan Award to graduate students to partially support their research projects dealing with foraminifera or allied groups. The Cushman Foundation for Foraminiferal Research will begin accepting applications in January 2012 for the following Student Research Awards:

Joseph A. Cushman Award for Student Research supports Master’s and Doctoral Student research projects dealing with the systematics, biostratigraphy, paleoecology, and ecology of fossil or living foraminifera.

William V. Sliter Research Award supports graduate student research on Mesozoic and Cenozoic foraminifera....
