The 2010 Joseph A. Cushman Award for Excellence in Foraminiferal Research was presented to Andrew J. Gooday on November 2, 2010 at the Cushman Foundation for Foraminiferal Research Reception and Award Ceremony in Denver, Colorado.

Andy Gooday began his career studying ostracodes. His M.S. from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee was on Miocene benthic ostracodes and his Ph.D. from the University of Exeter (UK) was on Devonian ostracodes.
