Ed Klovan, a long time member of CSPG (47 years) and well-known educator, sedimentologist, explorationist, and computer specialist, was welcomed as an honorary member of the Society on February 18. Such recognition is well deserved and Ed has had a major influence on Western Canada exploration for the past 40 years through his seminal publications, exceptional teaching skills and promotion of the application of computers for petroleum geology.
