Harm LaRue

The Stanley Slipper Gold Medal is the CSPG’s most prestigious award. The award is named for Mr. Stanley E. Slipper, 1890–1982, who was the Alberta Society of Petroleum Geologists’ first President and a pioneer of early exploration efforts in Alberta.

The 2002 winner of the medal is Harm LaRue.

Harm was born in Long Beach, California in 1946 to Harm and Jean LaRue. Harm had two brothers and sisters and grew up in various western states, graduating from High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
