Eyles and Mohajer (2003) begin their Discussion by stating that “any new information regarding the geology of the (Rouge River) area is to be welcomed”, but then dismiss the new information contained in our paper (Godin et al. 2002) as bearing the “hallmarks of having been completed by outside workers”. We share Eyles and Mohajer’s view that the deformational features of the Rouge River valley are both interesting and important.
