We reply to the criticisms of Oliver and Hansen on our paper on the structure and tectonic significance of what we prefer to call the Teslin zone (TZ) and Oliver and Hansen the Teslin suture zone (TSZ). They criticize %(%i) our “scientific methodology,” (ii) our interpretation of linear fabric elements, (iii) the existence of kilometre-scale folds in the TZ, and (iv) our interpretation of North American rocks in the western TZ.
