MECC'08 – A window into the Mid-European Clay Community

The December 2009 issue of Clay Minerals is devoted to selected papers presented at the 4^th Mid-European Clay Conference (MECC'08) held in Zakopane (Poland) on 22–27 September 2008. The MECCs have been organized since 2001 by the Mid-European Clay Groups including those from Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Germany (which includes members from Germany, Austria and Switzerland). The MECC'08 in Zakopane followed on from MECC'01 in Stará Lesná (Slovakia), MECC'04 in Miskolc (Hungary), and MECC'06 in Opatija (Croatia).
