Abstract

Paleomagnetic results from 11 dikes of three different directional trends (north, northwest, and northeast) from the Frontenac axis are reported. Six northwest trending dikes (minimum age 800 m.y.) give well-grouped stable magnetization directions with a corresponding pole at 12 °S, 162 °E (N = 6, K = 85, A95 = 7°).
