Abstract

Post-tectonic albite syenodiorite and cancrinite–arfvedsonite pegmatite are associated with a major fault in the Nachicapau and Marcel Lakes area within the eugeosyncline of the Labrador Trough. These rocks are not considered to be leucocratic associates of country tholeiites but, instead, are tentatively related to an older carbonatite lamprophyre suite of rocks found in the miogeosyncline.
