The Peacock Medal of the Mineralogical Association of Canada, formerly the Past Presidents’ Medal, is the highest award of the Society. It recognizes a distinguished scientist who has made an outstanding contribution to the mineral sciences in Canada. The 2007 recipient is Dr. J.K. (Kelly) Russell of the Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences of the University of British Columbia.
