Dedicated to a remarkable mineralogist, the late Eugene Edward Foord, the Tourmaline volume provides a clear perspective across the spectrum of species in this important and complex group of minerals. Whereas in 1962 there were only three accepted tourmaline species, schorl, elbaite and dravite, there are now 14 recognized (and counting!).
