Abstract

The area is accessible from 1-10, U.S. 90, and (from Big Bend National Park) Texas 170. Outcrops of Lower Cretaceous rocks occur along public roads near Kent; south of Sierra Blanca in the Quitman Mountains; southwest of Marfa and north of the Chinati Mountains; and south of Shafter (Fig. 1).
