Abstract

The famous algal reefs of the upper Wilberns Formation in central Texas are well illustrated by the section at the Camp San Saba crossing on the San Saba River, McCulloch County, Texas (Figs. 1, 2). These reefs are entirely within the San Saba Member of the Upper Cambrian Wilberns Formation (Barnes and Bell, 1977).
