Abstract

Johnson Shut-ins State Park, W½Sec.16 and NW¼Sec.21, T.33N., R.2E., Reynolds County, Missouri; Johnson Shut-ins7¼-minute Quadrangle. Entrance to the park is from Missouri N(Fig. 1), 13.2 mi (21 km) southwest of its junction with Missouri 21, north of Ironton, Missouri, and 6.2 mi (10 km) northeast of its junction with Missouri 21–49–72, west of Lesterville, Missouri.From the parking lot, walk east on well-marked (paved) trailabout 1800 ft (540 m) to the shut-ins overlook(Fig. 2).The site is on public land.Note State parkrules prohibit defacing or collecting rocks.
