This site within the Greenwich slice of the Hamburg klippe is located in the northwest comer of the Kutztown 7½-minute Quadrangle (Lash, 1985a) in Berks County, Pennsylvania, and includes two large fault bounded exposures approximately 1000 ft (300 m) apart on Pennsylvania 143 (Fig. 1). The exposures can be reached by proceeding about 4 mi (6 km) north on Pennsylvania 143 from the Lenhartsville exit of U.S. 78.
