Cretaceous rocks deposited on the eastern margin of the Western Interior Seaway are a part of a large eastward-thinning wedge of sediments. Although the eastern stratigraphic record holds important information on unique depositional settings, the geology of rocks in the central and western margin areas has dominated the literature. In an attempt to facilitate a more holistic view of the seaway and foster continuing studies of eastern margin rocks, this volume presents a collection of papers dealing with topics in stratigraphy, paleobotany, geochemistry, and tectonics of these strata.
