The foraminiferal faunas at Uitpa and Sillamana. Colombia, have been divided into 58 genera and 137 species. Seven new species are described. The foraminiferal assemblages indicate a Mio-Oligocene (Aquitanian) age and a marine, open-sea environment between 100 and 300 fathoms in depth. Correlations, bused on Foraminifera, are suggested between the Mio-Oligocene beds of the Goajira Peninsula, Colombia, and those of other regions in the Caribbean area.
