Geologic time interval: Late Cretaceous, Cenomanian-Santonian

Tectonic-sedimentary setting: Passive margin

Basin type: Epeiric shelf

Paleoclimate: Probably tropical

Platform type: Ramps and rimmed platforms

Platform geometry: 450 m thick landward; 1000 m thick basinward; 15 km wide and 40 km long

Facies and fossils: Fine- to coarse-grained carbonates, abundant shales and sandstones. Pelagic and benthic foraminifera, algae, molluscs (cephalopods and rudists), and corals

Systems tracts: Fluvial, deltaic, lagoon, shelf margin, basin

Stacking patterns: Aggradational, retrogradational, progradational parasequence sets
