Name: Budva trough and Dalmatian and Karst platforms

Authors: J. Obradović, M. Mirković, D. Čadenović, and J. Djurdjević

Location: From 42° 00' to 42° 40' north latitude and 18° 30' to 19° 20' east longitude, southeastern Yugoslavia

Geologic time interval: Aptian-Maastrichtian

Tectonic-sedimentary setting: Northwest-southeast striking complex thrust belt

Basin type: Rifted intraoceanic blocks separated by troughs

Paleoclimate: Tropical, humid to semi-arid

Platform type: Bahamian-type banks and rimmed platforms

Platform geometry: Narrow; 200 km wide and 600–1000 km long

Facies and fossils: Shallow water, back reef to supratidal biostromes and patch reefs; slope and basinal turbidites, breccias, and pelagic muds. Rock-forming organisms: algae, foraminifera, ostracodes, rudists, and corals.

Systems tracts: Indeterminate in outcrop

Stacking patterns: Indeterminate in outcrop
