Stratigraphy

Abstract

In this study, the stratigraphic section is subdivided into 12 main seismic sequences, based on the seismic stratigraphic analysis (Table 1). A more detailed seismic interpretation was conducted locally within the prograding sequences where a more refined interpretation was possible. An alphanumeric system was used to assign names to the horizons and the sequences they bound (Table 1). Seismic units were correlated to the wells, and their ages were determined from biostratigraphic control.
