Abstract
The formula of Ca3Al2P2Si2O5 is confirmed by electron microprobe anlaysis and synthesis. Electron diffraction discloses that the crystals are monoclinic, Pa or P2/a. Powder X-ray data (80 reflections, 53 indexed) are presented. The refined cell dimensions are a = 24.212 ± 0.008Å, b = 5.110 ± 0.003Å, c = 10.698 ± 0.003Å; β = 107.30 ± 0.03°.
