We offer this remembrance of Paul Edwin Albertson as two of his former but intense colleagues, one as professor and the other as a fellow student and protégé. We were so positively affected by Paul's presence and good works that we cannot abandon this attempt to place him in the firmament of those who have profoundly affected our profession and its practitioners. Because no official memorial has yet appeared at the offices of our journal, we humbly rise to salute our departed brother.
