This is the second of two issues in the special volume of Environmental & Engineering Geoscience dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Jerome (Jerry) V. De Graff. Jerry's work with the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) in California gave him opportunities to influence management and consider geologic resources and hazards in managing natural resources.
